Episode 257: A Story of Hope in Los Angeles with Katharine DeShaw

This is where the subhead goes where we talk about how you need to do your research and two other things

When today’s guest, Katharine DeShaw, found out her beloved yoga studio, Center for Yoga in Los Angeles, was closing she took matters into her own hands.

Katharine, who is a consultant in philanthropy and nonprofit management, went to work making phone calls to raise community support and funds to allow Center for Yoga to open its doors again.

It’s an inspiring story of how the yoga community came together to keep this iconic space — which had been in business since the 1960s — open and thriving despite continuing challenges of re-opening during a global pandemic.
